Central-India, ca. 13th c.

Sculpted with three scenes placed above each other, the lowest with probably Gajalakshmi seated in lalitasana on a lotus base with her right hand in varadamudra while the other is holding a lotus flower, wearing sari, bejewelled, her face displaying a serene expression with almond-shaped eyes, her hair combed in a chignon and a pair of elephants above, surmounted by a couple standing below a tree, topped with another couple seated on a pedestal, all three scenes are flanked to one side by five nagarajas, their hands in anjalimudra and their tails intricately woven into each other.
